TAXILA: Two shops were looted in broad daylight in Hassanabdal on Friday.

In the first incident, four men on two motorcycles targetted a wholesale dealer, Rafaqat Ali, on Lodhi Road a few yards away from a police station and looted cash Rs550,000 at gunpoint and escaped.

In the second incident, the same gang targetted a dealer named Haji Allah Dad on Girls School Road and snatched Rs200,000 from him.

It may be mentioned here that two motorcycle riders had robbed a local trader of Rs2.6 million on the same road when he was going to a bank to deposit the money.
