ISLAMABAD, July 23: Pakistan will benefit from the Canadian experience in managing water resources, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Northern Areas and Water and Power Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said while talking to Canadian High Commissioner Bryan Binton in a meeting on Wednesday.

He said some political parties in Pakistan were making hue and cry over trivial issues, such as the LFO, while real issues including economy, education, unemployment and water shortage were being ignored.”I shall be visiting Sindh to redress the grievances of the province regarding water issues,” he added.

Mr Sherpao solicited the support of the envoy regarding Pakistan’s re-entry in the Commonwealth.

The minister said the world community had recognized the gravity of Kashmir issue. Confidence-building measures, like restoration of bus service, exchange of high commissioners and the recent reciprocal visits of parliamentarians, would lead to a meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan, he said.

This, he added, would ultimately result in resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of the people of the valley.
