LAHORE: Khawaja Nadeem and Mian Mohammad Mobin have been elected unopposed as president and treasurer of the Lahore Region Cricket Association/ Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) here on Tuesday.

The election for the seat of secretary could not be held after all candidates for the post withdrew.

“All 34 representatives of the three Zones were present in the elections. However, prior to the start of polling, all candidates except Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed and Mian Muhammad Mobin withdrew their candidature,” a PCB press release states.

“Therefore, both Nadeem Ahmed and Mian Mohammad Mobin were declared and notified as elected unopposed president and treasurer, respectively.

“Deputy Election Commissioner Rana Shahzad Farooq further informed the participants that as all candidates for the post of secretary have withdrawn their candidature, fresh schedule for the vacant position shall be issued shortly,” it concluded.

It will be the second term of Khawaja Nadeem as LCCA president with current election ending almost one year long ad hoc on one of the most important regions.
