ISLAMABAD: The second round of dialogue between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) concluded without any solid development.

After the meeting, PAT leader Raheeq Abbasi told media that the dialogue session did not lead to any breakthrough.

He said he saw lack of seriousness on the government side and said he didn't see any hope, however dialogue process would continue for now.

Abbasi refused to talk about the points that were discussed during the meeting but said PAT "tried to apprise the delegation of our viewpoint, its logic and causes”.

The government committee will now consult with its leadership and we are looking forward to their response, he said.

The PAT leader said his party had delivered a clear message that dialogue couldn’t be productive without registering a proper first information report of the Model Town tragedy.

Responding to a question, he said the PAT would pursue its 'revolution', even if, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf comes to a settlement with the government.

He said there was a solid unification between the demands of PAT and PTI.

“We have the same purposes and demands," he added.

Ahsan Iqbal of PML-N said the government wanted an earlier solution of the ongoing political turmoil through dialogue.

The government’s delegation comprised of prominent political figures, including Ahsan Iqbal, Haider Abbas Rizvi and Abdul Qadir Baloch. While Raheeq Abbasi, Khurram Nawaz and Sunni Ittehad Council chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza represented PAT.
