Powerlifting team to be named

LAHORE, July 22: A five-member Pakistan team will be announced on July 31 for the participation in the World Junior Powerlifting Championship to be held in Warsaw, Poland from Sept 9 to 14.

Pakistan Powerlifting Federation secretary, Chaudhary Abdur Rashid said that five lifters Adeel Rana, Qamar Hussain, Sheraz Butt, Qadeer Akram and Muhammad Imran Khalid who were attending the training session were first choice for selection.  But their performance would be assessed in the Independence Day tournament to be held at on July 31.
