FC vacates youth hostel

QUETTA, July 22: The Frontier Corps has vacated two rooms of the youth hostel here and shifted to the football stadium and other places provided by the provincial government.

“We vacated the youth hostel’s rooms on July 17,” Col Shahid of the FC told Dawn on Tuesday. “ The FC was not using the premises of the hostel,” he said and added that the troops were living in tents erected in the football ground of the Ayub Stadium.

He said the government colleges and schools had opened after summer vacations and FC troops had vacated their buildings.

Sources said the Pakistan Sports Control Board had provided a few rooms to the FC officers who were commanding the troops called out by the district administration.
