KARACHI: KFHA budget

KARACHI, July 22: The budget proposals for fiscal year 2003-04, of the Karachi Fisheries Harbour Authority (KFHA) were approved at a meeting of its board of directors, which met on Tuesday, chaired by Sindh fisheries minister and chairman, KHFA, Sardar Manzoor Ali Khan Panhwar.

The estimated expenditures of the KFHA have been shown at Rs39.089 million, while Rs35.5409 million are declared its estimated income.

Managing Director of the KHFA, Abdul Waheed Prizada, informed the meeting that the shortfall would be met through last year’s savings, amounting to Rs3.50 million. He said an amount of Rs2.500 million had been allocated for maintenance works at the harbour.—APP
