RAWALPINDI: A superintendent of police (SP) Rawalpindi, who was giving ‘box cover security’ to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, became a victim of a pickpocket at Aabpara Chowk.

According to police sources, 60 Elite Force commandos, headed by SP Headquarters Wazir Khan Nasir from Rawalpindi, were assigned to escort Imran Khan as his convoy entered the limits of Rawalpindi police on Friday night.

Though the SP was supposed to hand over security charge to Islamabad police on reaching T-Chowk at Rawat, he was directed to continue his journey till Mr Khan’s convoy reached Aabpara Chowk.

Upon reaching the destination, the SP realised that he had lost cash and official cards from his wallet.

However, the SP has still not lodged a formal complaint with the police.

It is important to note that he has to register a report to get duplicate copies of his cards.
