ISLAMABAD: A cook preparing food for the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in the city was allegedly arrested on Friday.
Ghulam Ali, the media coordinator for PAT, told Dawn that his party had placed orders with different caterers to provide food to the participants of the ‘revolution’ march.
Lal Din, one of the caterers, who has a catering business in Sector G-9, had been asked to prepare 200 degs (cauldrons) for the dinner of the PAT workers. “We have come to know that the police have arrested him and confiscated the degs.”
He said his party was trying to find out where the cook had been detained.
When contacted, Mohammad Abbas, a duty officer at Margalla police station, denied that the cook had been arrested.
