Independence day sports

LAHORE, July 21:District Sports Committee, Lahore has decided to hold competition of eight different games,  including women’s hockey to celebrate Independence Day.

Programme schedule

July 31: Powerlifting championship at the Punjab University, Ground.

Aug 2 to 5: Basketball at Islamia College, Civil Lines.

Aug 1 to 6: Men’s hockey at National Hockey  Stadium.

Aug 6 to 8: Women’s hockey.

Aug 8 to 10: Wrestling at Atiq Stadium.

Aug 11 to 12 Table tennis at  National Sports Training and Coaching centre.

Aug 13: Kabaddi and tug-of-war matches will also be held at Atiq Stadium.

A football match will also be played on Aug 14 at Punjab university ground.
