KARACHI: Design demanded

KARACHI, July 21: Leaders and legislators representing different political parties at a meeting here urged the government to halt the construction of Lyari Expressway project.

They also suggested that the project be redesigned by a panel of city experts and its construction work be handed to the Sindh or the city government.

The meeting was organized by the Action Committee for Civic Problems and it was addressed by Balochistan National Democratic Party chief Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, PPP MPA Abdullah Murad, MMA parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Maulana Mohammad Omar, JI leader and a former legislator Baboo Ghulam Husain and others.
