RAWALPINDI, July 20: A 20-year-old girl was strangulated by her brother in Sadiqabad, while a teenage boy was killed in a roof collapse in Dhoke Munshi on Sunday, police said.

Nazia, daughter of Mohammad Niaz, was at home allegedly with some boy, while her parents were away when her brother came. On seeing Nazia’s brother, the boy ran out of the house, but he was overpowered by some boys in the street and beaten.

Police said Nazia was brought to RGH by her brother where she was pronounced dead. Initial investigation suggested that the girl was strangulated.

In the second incident, a teenage boy was killed when the roof of the house caved in in Dhoke Munshi (airport police area) on Sunday.—Staff Reporter
