BAHAWALPUR, July 20: Nine criminals, including four policemen, were booked by Saddar police in a dacoity case on the orders of a local court on Sunday.

Karamat alleged in his plaint that ASI Shabbir along with constables Khalid, Sabir, Saifullah and five other bandits snatched money from him and his companions. Later, the policemen took them to the police station and registered a case against them.

Meanwhile, four policemen of Hasilpur were booked for their alleged involvement in the escape of a dacoit on Saturday night.

Mumtaz alias Majid was on physical remand, but he managed to escape.
