ISLAMABAD: Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing early morning today at Line of Control in Gultri sector near Astore(Gilgit-Baltistan), according to a statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations on Thursday.

This is the first time that Indian troops resorted to firing in Astore sector of LoC.

"Pakistani troops responded effectively to the Indian firing", a spokesman for ISPR said in a statement.
