CHARSADDA: Three people were killed in separate incidents in Charsadda district on Sunday evening and on Monday.

In the first incident, a man died after received a stray bullet during the celebratory firing on the eve of Eid inside his house in the Qandaharo Kalli area of Tangi tehsil.

Ali Rehman was lying in the courtyard of his house on return from the mosque after observing 10-day Aitekaf when the incident occurred.

The man was shifted to the local government hospital after the incident but he succumbed to the bullet injury.

In another incident, a man was killed in Shamsuddin Koroona area of Charsadda on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ashiq Shah.

The police registered a case against Mujahid on the complaint of the deceased’s father, Mohammad Shah, and began investigation.

In another incident, a man was killed allegedly by his brother in Nissata area on Monday.

The local residents said two brothers had hot exchanges over a domestic dispute and opened fire at each other.

They said the firing left Shad Gul dead.

The suspected killer fled after the incident.

Meanwhile, a security personnel was injured after unidentified people fired gunshots at a vehicle of the security forces in Shabqadar.

A local official said the incident occurred in Anda area near a police checkpost.

He said the attackers opened fire on the vehicle injuring Sajid Nawaz and fled.

The official said the injured security official was taken to the Shabqadar hospital for treatment. Later, the police cordoned off the area and began a search operation to arrest killers.
