Zardari asks PPP workers to spend some Eid time with IDPs, troops’ families

ISLAMABAD: PPP Co-Chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has asked party workers to spend some time with internally displaced persons of North Waziristan and with families of soldiers and law-enforcement agencies during Eid holidays.

The directive came in the form of a message released by the PPP’s media office on Monday.

“I ask party workers to spend some time of the Eid with internally displaced persons as well as families of soldiers and law-enforcement agencies who are valiantly fighting extremists and militants to defend the motherland,” Mr Zardari said.

Mr Zardari said that “a thought must also be spared for those members of our armed forces, the police, law-enforcement agencies and civilians who have laid down their lives in the fight against militants so that we may truly celebrate Eid in peace”.

“We must... reach out to the IDPs who have been forced to live in tents and makeshift homes in Bannu and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” because of the military operation in North Waziristan, he said.

Zardari! you care so much about IDP's, that's why you decide to spend your Eid in New York with your family. How many times did you, your son or daughter visited these IDP camps to see how is life there. SHAME on you, your party leaders, Nawaz Sharif and his party men forgetting these very needed people during Ramadan and on Eid.

Where is Zardari himself? Why doesn't he come back and spend some time with the IDPS and the troops? We all remember how in 2010, the then President Zardari preferred to spend time in France and visit his Chateau when the country was immersed in one of the worst floods of recent times in Pakistan.

Yeah .... You don't worry about it and expect your workers to do this? Leader should set examples for others to follow. You did not even bother to spend your Eid in Pakistan. This is just a point scoring statement and has no reality or commitment to it. I feel sorry for people who selected people like you as a leader. You are just a pathetic, inconsiderate, hopeless & cunning individual. May Allah give you guidance. The worldly materialistic life that you chose is not ever-lasting. You soon will realize this but then I am afraid, it is gonna be too late!

wonderful, PPP workers are not free to abide by your command while you sit in Dubai celebrating Eid or holidays with your children. This was IK who being a leader took initiative to be with IDPs on the day of their Eid, not like you who even cannot bother to issue the same statement (command) before Eid not on the second day of their Eid

Taliban are not human beings they are against humanity and civilization. Thier constitution is based on gender aparthide, ethnic cleansing, barbarism and fanaticism.
