HYDERABAD, Dec 19: The Zila Nazim, Hyderabad, Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman visited various educational institutions of Hala the other day.

He was accompanied by the taluka Nazim and Nazims of Hala town.

Mr Rafiquzzaman announced that the abandoned Talib-ul-Maula Hostel of Sarwari Islamia College Hala would be bifurcated and two separate high schools, one each for boys and girls, would be established.

He said that a swimming pool would be constructed at the Sarwari Islamia College while playgrounds would be established at Hala to provide recreational facilities to the youth.

The Zila Nazim assured that the problems of Hala town would be resolved and the taluka council would be extended full support in its efforts to provide basic facilities to the people of Hala town and matching grants would be given for development schemes.

Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman visited the Makhdoom Ghulam Hyder High School, Makhdoom Mohammad Zaman Talib-ul-Maula High School, and Sarwari Islamia College.

EID: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated on Monday with traditional zeal and fervour throughout Hyderabad District and no untoward incident was reported from any quarter.

Eid prayers were held in all the main mosques but the major congregation was held at the city Eidgah at the Rani Bagh where thousands of faithfuls prayed for the integrity and solidarity of Pakistan and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.

A large number of people including women and children visited Rani Bagh and Funland. The administration had taken strict security arrangements at these places as well as at cinema houses and other recreational places.

Day and night patrolling was beefed up by the police.
