Protest against loadshedding

LANDI KOTAL, July 19: Residents of Jamrud on Saturday took out a procession to protest against excessive loadshedding in the area.

The procession, organized by the Jamrud chapter of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI), was attended by hundreds of people. They were carrying banners and placards on which slogans against Wapda and Jamrud political authorities were written.

Addressing the protesters local Amir JUI Hafiz Mohammad Rawan alleged that the residents had lodged their complaint about load shedding with Wapda officials and political authorities, but no action was taken.

He said Wapda had sanctioned two feeders for Jamrud but they were yet to be installed.
