LAHORE, July 19: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has directed the city district government to submit a comprehensive plan for the improvement of the storm water drainage.

This was stated by Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood while talking to union council Nazims here on Saturday.

He said the chief minister had issued the directive after his visit to the city areas inundated by the storm water recently. He had promised to provide funds for the implementation of the plan.

Mian Amer said Wasa had started preparing a plan. It had also decided to install signboards indicating the drainage time at places like Lakshmi Chowk which had been flooded by rain water.
