SHEIKHUPURA, July 18: Narang Mandi police claimed on Friday to have arrested two of the four people, who had abducted a lady doctor on Thursday.

Narang Mandi SHO Safdar Gujjar told this correspondent that two suspects Anwar and Khalil had been arrested so far, and they had promised to produce the abductee within 24 hours.

A rural health centre’s doctor was abducted by four people on the Railway Road, Narang Mandi, when she was coming from a local NBP branch with a large sum of money.

According to eye-witnesses, suspects Sajjad alias Bagu, owner of a kiln, Lahore DIG office worker Anwar, and two women dragged the doctor in a car and took her away.

Her family claimed she was going to be married after a week.

Narang Mandi police have arrested Anwar and Khalil, but yet to ascertain the motive.
