Power meters returned in protest

CHARSADDA, July 18: The residents of Dalazak district have returned 145 electricity meters to Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) on Friday to protest against excessive load shedding.

According to details, residents of Dalazak stepped out of their houses because of excessive load shedding in the area and marched towards the office of the executive engineer of Pesco chanting slogans against Federal Minister for Water, Power and Kashmir Affairs Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and Pesco.

Addressing the protestors Nazim of Panjpao union council Faraz Khan and councillor Janfraz Khan said that Pesco should make efforts to make power supply regular.—PPI
