Shujaat coming on 23rd

ISLAMABAD, July 18: PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is coming on Wednesday next from London to start the new round of talks with the combined opposition.

“I made a telephone call to Chaudhry Sahib today who told me that he has cut short his visit and now reaching Lahore on Wednesday with a view to establishing fresh contact with the opposition parties,” said Vice President of PML-Q Syed Kabir Ali Wasti.

He told Dawn on Friday that the parliamentary leader of the ruling PML-Q was reaching Pakistan 10 days before schedule after having consulted his doctors in London.

He said the PML-Q president believed that government/opposition differences would be resolved amicably.

Mr Wasti said that the opposition should not insist on the removal of President Musharraf’s military uniform. The issue of uniform should be left to the President’s discretion, Mr Wasti said.
