QUETTA, July 18: The FIA busted a gang of five persons including a manager of a local bank with bogus identity cards and passports here on Thursday.
Sultan Afridi Assistant director of FIA Balochistan said on Friday that on a tip off a team of FIA raided a bus from Peshawar here on Thursday and arrested Qaim Khan and during search 48 fake national identity cards were recovered.
During interrogation the accused revealed names of two other suspects, Abdul Bari manager of the bank and Abdul Khaliq, who were also allegedly involved in the crime.
The FIA official further said the suspects have confessed that they in collaboration with officers of registration office in Dera Adamkhel have been preparing fake national identity cards for Afghan refugees to send them to perform Haj and about 500 bogus NIC were under process in the said registration office.
The FIA in separate raids also arrested Raja Aurangzeb and Altaf who were involved in providing fake visas.
