KARACHI: Hosts Aga Khan Gymkhana (AKG) crashed to their third straight defeat in the 27th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Festival T20 cricket tournament when Soni Associates cruised to a 58-run win at the AKG Ground here on Monday.

Opener Ahmed Hussain blasted 57 off 32 balls with eight boundaries and three sixes to help Soni Associates reach 187-7. Adeel Khan was also in top nick by striking 49 off 23 deliveries (five sixes and four fours) while sharing a first-wicket partnership of 102 with Ahmed.

AKG, in reply, limped to 129-9 with Tariq Murad (31 off 19 balls) and former first-class cricketer Suleman Huda (21 off 17) being their chief run-getters. Khurram Kausar took three wickets for 30.

Ahmed Hussain was declared man-of-the-match.
