LAHORE: A man, who was arrested from a private airline landing at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, was released today, DawnNews reported.

As the Shaheen Airlines flight from Muscat landed at the airport, the pilot acting on a tip-off taxied to the Hajj terminal and alerted the authorities regarding the presence of a suspected individual in the aircraft.

After securing the aircraft, Airport Security Force (ASF) commandos entered the plane and took Shah Dildar Khan into custody.

He was shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation after which he was released.

According to sources, Dildar's brother and his wife had wrongly tipped-off airport personnel due to a family feud.

Last month, a brazen five-hour attack by militants on the international airport in Karachi left 28 people, including 10 attackers dead.
