KASUR, July 15: Two girls were raped while a house-wife was abducted in separate incidents here on Tuesday.

Police said a teenaged girl was at her sister’s house at Bhoja village in Mustafaabad where Tanvir Ahmad, Nasir Ali and another man raped her.

A girl student was on her way to tuition centre at Kanganpur when a woman took her to a house where Khalid Raza raped her at gunpoint.

Relevant police stations have instituted cases against the suspects.

Three armed men plundered Rs2,500 cash from a man and abducted his wife after locking him in a room.

Sarai Mughal police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, a woman was burnt allegedly by her husband and his three accomplices over personal differences at Haveli Khushhal Singh village in Saddar.

According to family, Asma Bibi wedded Muhammad Habib three years ago, but did not feel comfortable at her husband’s home. They often quarrelled over disputes.

Habib, along with his three accomplices, threw petrol on Asma on Tuesday. She suffered burns and was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital where she died.

Saddar police have registered a case against the suspects.

KILLED: A police head-constable was killed after being hit by a cart near Bhamba Road on Tuesday.

Police said Muhammad Khalid, who was posted at Raiwind Saddar police station as moharrar, was coming from Raiwind when a donkey-cart hit his motorcycle. As a result, Khalid suffered severe hurts and fell unconscious.

Meanwhile, a police patrolling squad saw Khalid lying and took him to Kot Radha Kishan rural health centre from where he was shifted to the General Hospital, Lahore. He died after some time.

The Saddar police have registered a case against the absconding coachman.

INJURED: Robbers shot at and injured a local trader on his resistance near a union council office.

Reports said Sajjad Ahmad Sheikh, owner of an electronics company, was going along with his wife when three armed men stopped him near Dera Haji Javed Akhtar and fired at him on resistance.

Sajjad was grievously injured and referred to the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore.

A-Division police have registered a case.
