Development schemes

LAHORE, July 15: The government will spend Rs6 billion on the uplift of development schemes in the education sector and Rs7.8 billion on health sector.

This was stated by Punjab Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Khan Rokhari while talking to a delegation here on Tuesday. He said that most of the development schemes would be launched in less developed districts.

He said that 60 community model schools for girls in different districts and 300 schools would be opened under the Punjab Rural Support Programme.

The minister said that operation theatres of teaching hospitals would be modernized with Rs2 billion.
