Justice Umar Ata Bandial takes oath as Supreme Court judge

ISLAMABAD: Justice Umar Ata Bandial was elevated to the post of a Supreme Court judge on Tuesday after taking oath from Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani in a special ceremony, DawnNews reported.

The ceremony was attended by senior lawyers and honourable Supreme Court judges.

The strength of apex court judges has risen to 17 after Justice Bandial's swearing in today.

Justice Bandial had previously served as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
