KARACHI, July 13: The secretary of Karachi University Teachers’ Society (KUTS), Dr Riaz Ahmad, has deplored the humiliation to be faced by teachers and students, while entering into the campus through a two-feet wide gate, as the semester begins on July 15.
In a statement issued on Sunday, he complained that despite earlier complaints of harassment, the KU administration continued to close the main gates.
Despite the tall claims of security, he said, little security was provided to the residents of the Staff Town. He said that the house of Prof Dr Monis Ahmar was recently ransacked inside the campus and goods were stolen from his house in his absence. — PPI
