Child’s body found

OKARA, July 12: An eight-year-old boy, who went missing from his house a few days ago, was found strangled here on Saturday.

According to reports, three youngsters took away Amir Husain, son of Muhammad Nawaz, from his house near Basirpur to a canal where they sodomised him turn by turn and strangled him before throwing his body into canal. Later, they raised hue and cry, claiming that the minor had drowned.

The body was recovered when the district and sessions judge dispatched a team to search it out on the complaint of the deceased’s father.

Basirpur police have registered a case against suspects identified as Arif, Mazhar and Sarfraz.
