LeT denies it attacked Indian consulate in Afghanistan: report

SRINAGAR: Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) denied Monday that it was behind an attack last week by gunmen on an Indian diplomatic mission in Afghanistan, in a call to news agency AFP.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai claimed Monday that he had been informed by a Western intelligence agency that LeT was responsible for the assault on the Indian consulate in Herat which left two policemen wounded.
“Hamid Karzai’s claim is not based on truth. We condemn the attack,” a man identifying himself as LeT spokesman Abdullah Ghaznavi said in a call to AFP's office in India-held Kashmir.
“Our operations are limited to Jammu and Kashmir alone, and these will continue until the dawn of freedom for the territory,” he said from an undisclosed location.
AFP said the caller spoke in Urdu and rang from an unrecognised number.
The news agency says LeT have called them in the past to issue denials of their involvement in attacks.

Pakistan was never friend of anyone, including Iran,India,Afghanistan and many other nations, even with far nations like Russian Federation, Russia accepts Pakistan is an Enemy and they won't forget what Pakistan did to USSR.

Mr. Hamid Karzai should stop blaming Pakistan for everything happens in Afghanistan. Even if he seals the border with Pakistan ans takes back his almost three million Afghan refugees, he will have continue facing such troubles.
He should have his four eyes open.

If the caller is fighting for Kashmir when is he going to talk Kashmiri. They have a separate language and script you know. Everything is not monolithic or uniform in the sub-continent.

Personally, I LOVE Pakistan and I AM a Pakistani, so please dont speak for me...oh and I have lived in 2 middleeastern countries and one western (UK) and even after that I say that Pakistan for me is the best country in the world.

According to news reports in other papers, LeT (Pakistan) planned this attack. Plan included taking hostages at the consulate to disrupt swearing in ceremony of PM Modi. These people will never change.

Dear Pakistani friends - All i can say is that one more attack by Let, on the lines of Bombay terrorist attack and all bets will be off. We will reach a point of no return.
Its better for our relationships and for Pakistan to keep these vile jokers like LET in check. People like these can put our sub-continent to fire and its we all and our children who are going to pay the cost.
If you think you can force a huge nation like India through terrorism, then you are living in a virtual reality. This time India will retaliate in the same coin, and 100 times over. These fools can push us towards a war, which none of us want, and one of us is going to lose.
