LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department and the Technical Resource Facility (TRF) of the British Department for International Development (DFID) have decided to launch a new project under the name of TRF Plus (TRF+) this year which will continue till 2018.

Under the project, the TRF will provide technical assistance for capacity-building, monitoring and evaluation of the health sector programmes in Punjab.

The decision was made at a meeting held at the office of the Punjab Health Sector Reforms Programme.

Presided over by Health Secretary Dr Ijaz Muneer, the meeting was also attended by TRF team leader in Pakistan Ms Diane, TRF head in Islamabad Farooq Aazem, Punjab Health Sector Reforms Programme director Dr Akhtar Rasheed Malik, Punjab Health Foundation Managing Director Izhar Ahmed Sheikh and Dr Anwar Janjua.

The meeting reviewed the cooperation and technical assistance provided by the TRF to the health department and it was agreed to continue and further promote collaboration.
