Does it apply to people visiting Pakistan that on exit they will need to be vaccinated?

now pakistan has become a superpower...world are afraid of Pakistani travelers..

Nawaz Sharif, and all his govt official should take polio vaccination on the airport, and should be shown on live tv. This is totally mess from govt to setup this on airport. It is very bad response from govt.

Yes this should be applied at departing airports and borders - the best would be to have polio vaccine ready at the airports incase a person fails to produce a vaccination certificate. This should apply to even elderly people. Additional expense to open a vaccination counter at the airports

I don't get it, how can the VIRUS be eliminated by a VACCINE? Vaccines are suppose to introduce an immune response to a virus/bacteria. It's only for immunity, how can vaccine kill the virus outside the body??? IF the virus is in the drains/rivers/ponds of ANY country how did they KILL it with a vaccine? There is more to this POLIO campaign!

Good, quick response from government. People attacking the polio workers have succeeded in maligning Pakistan but government's response is a good damage control measure

@Umair i am a doctor and i should inform you that. Once a person is infected with polio he can become a polio case or a disese carrier with out signs of disease. Both excrete huge amount of polio viruses in feaces. Now oral polio vaccine is live attenuated vaccine. That means that virus can infect the person but can not cause disease. Immunity prodused by that infection not only provide immunity against wild polio virus but also it stops fecal transmission of wild virus. Vaccine virus also excreted in feaces of immunized people. And that virus if eaten by human along with food or water that will protect that person from wild strain. So oral polio vaccine is very effective in mass immunization. Injectable vaccines are expensive and has not such additional benifit. But its used to immunize travellers and at last stages of polio compaign due to medical reasons. Polio vaccine is very effective and it has no relation with fertility.

Polio Vaccine can be made mandatory during the flight travelling as a duty of the air hosts and if any body denies during that time, the same may be reported at the next international airport, as a law.....This will save time and difficulties of the passengers at the airport
