Veena Malik receives grand reception at in-laws

Famous Pakistani actor Veena Malik received a grand reception on Friday when she reached Shakar Dara in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to meet with her in-laws for the first time after performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this week, upon her arrival in Islamabad for the first time after marrying singer and businessman Asad Bashir Khan, Veena said Pakistan had given a lot to her, and she had come back as a “matured girl” as it was time to give back to the country.

The overwhelming welcome the couple received stunned Veena’s Pashtun husband Asad also.

Speaking to media representatives, the Pakistani actor said that purpose of her visit was not merely to meet with her new relatives but she had an agenda also.

“And the agenda is education and health for locals,” she added.

We need to learn to respect other's ,who have different thinking and different way of life.We called everything bad,but nobody see her great talents.We have habit of bringing bad name to anybody who does not think like us,force that person to feel guilty.She deserves a lot of respect,she has the courage to do openly what she wanted to do.Now she is married,nobody should tell her what to do and how to do.

Allah may help her to stay steadfast as she has been advised by Maulana Tariq Jamil. We are no one to pass judgements. Allah has kept the doors of Toba open for all. We should wish her best of life as we wish for ourselves. Veena has the courage and talent to deliver and it is hoped that she will deliver in the fields of education and health as she is thinking. Allah may keep us all on the straight path.

@ahmed I totally agree that all efforts of Maulana Tariq Jameel should not be wasted. Looking at the comments of Asad gives the impression that they may go to Film Industry - everything boils down to money. The best example is Junaid Jamshed, ask him how much he gained instead of loss. Veen/Asad should concentrate on education and health, they will get much more than expected, if not in this world then in the hereafter.

What this all hullabaloo about Veena Malik, who is she? Is she a Pakistani actor, if so then she may be a a C lass. Outside very few Pakistani movies were released. Long time ago I had the chance to watch an excellent Pakistani movie, Murder of Hussain. This movie is very often shown here on national TV amongst the foreign classics.. Another movie directed by Sabiha Samar's Silent Water ran in main cinemas not the ethnic cinemas. for quite sometime and was highly applauded by the movie critics. Of course Jamil Dehlavi's Immaculate conception also did good business and highly acclaimed by the English press. I believe she is just the socialite of Pakistani society and no way she has a star value..

going to miss her in India. She created a lot of news and ensured that she kept herself in the news whether making a mivie or not. Her body art and tattoo's with ISI etc were amazing. I don't understand why the Pakistani media is giving wide and unnecessary coverage to Veena Malik, who has not played any important role in the Pakistani media industry side. After having failed to get recognition in Pakistan, she surrendered herself to Indian industry and played in their hands in a way that became a icon of shame for Pakistani people. Such a lady should not be given any coverage or space in the Pakistani media, and we don't mind, if she again succeeds to be in the headlines of Indian media in any form of her character.
