ISLAMABAD, July 8: All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader Mohammad Yasin Malik has expressed the confidence that the people of Kashmir will frustrate nefarious designs of those who at the behest of Indian agencies are out to sabotage the liberation struggle by launching propaganda against it.

According to the PTV, speaking at a public gathering at Bachroo in Kulgam, he denounced the killing by military agents of a senior JKLF activist, Fayyaz Ahmad, in Pulwama and the attempt by Indian troops to blow up a party office in Kupwara.

He said the Indian government was making efforts to put down his party’s signature campaign intended to emphasize the need to include Kashmiris in talks for resolving the Kashmir dispute.

The APHC in a statement in Srinagar on Tuesday expressed grief over the killing of Mr Ahmad. It also condemned the disappearance in custody of a youth, Bashir Ahmad Sofi, who was arrested by Indian troops.—APP
