KARACHI, July 7: Panic gripped the entire locality of Ancholi in Federal B Area, Abbas Town in Gulzar-i-Hijri, and Journalist Society in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, as the traffic police closed some roads on Monday.
Some people came on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road in Abbas Town and started mourning the deaths in Quetta carnage. Having presumed that the protesters would take out a procession and go to Sohrab Goth intersection, the traffic police closed some roads for vehicular movement causing immense problems for commuters and motorists.
The mourners beat their chests and condemned the Quetta carnage. They later dispersed peacefully. No report of violence was received. However, the shops and markets on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road and Ancholi were closed after receiving the reports that a procession was about to be taken out.
