FATEHJANG: A group preparing fake driving licences was arrested by the deputy superintendent of traffic police (DSP) in Attock.

According to sources, the DSP traffic, Sardar Shakeel Ahmed, checked the driving licence of a wagon driver during routine checking.

The wagon was en route to Fatehjang from Attock, when the driver’s licence was found to be fake.

The DSP arrested the driver, who, during investigation, revealed the whereabouts of a gang which was providing fake licences to drivers for a large sum of money.

A raid was carried out by DSP Shakeel on the location of the gang, and two culprits were arrested.

The machinery, including computers and printers, used for the production of the fake licences was also taken into custody. The police have registered a case against the gang and started investigation.
