KARACHI, July 6: LLWC, aided by two second half goals from Shakir Lashari, routed Bhutta Mohammadan 4-0 in the last game of the KASB Premier League sixth round on a rainy Sunday at CDGK Stadium.

LLWC are now settled at third spot with 12 points, while favourites Hyderi Baloch were toppled from the top by Baloch Mohammadan who now lead the pack of ten outfits with 16 points.

Hosts Karachi United, who have slumped to fourth from third, are still in contention along with Aga Khan Gymkhana who are tied with Nawab XI with eight points each.

Top five teams of the competition will retain their places for the next league.

Bhutta Mohammadan, who are languishing at the bottom of the table, came near scoring in the 11th minute but were left cursing themselves when Shahid Khan hit the LLWC crossbar.

LLWC’s Badar Qadir wasted a 22nd-minute golden opportunity after dodging past Bhutta Mohammadan goalkeeper Aftab Ahmad and missing the target.

Badar once again threatened the opposition two minutes later by beating the entire Bhutta Mohammadan defence but missed the net.

The game exploded into life in the 25th minute when Jameel fired home what was one of the most spectacular goals of the league. Jameel made no mistake when Badar back passed, providing his teammate an excellent opportunity to slam home from 22 yards.

LLWC’s Shakir Lashari, after squandering a chance in the 32nd minute, compensated with a 37th-minute strike and then poached the third in the 50th minute.

The very next minute Bhutta Mohammadan caved in when Allah Bukhsh capped the victory after a perfect Jameel cross from right.
