LAHORE, July 6: The MMA has decided to observe a mourning day on July 11 (Friday) to express solidarity with the heirs of over 50 people killed in Quetta on July 4.
The all-party conference convened by the MMA here on Sunday also expressed its profound grief over the Quetta incident and termed it a conspiracy against the country and the nation.
It said that Balochistan had been a peaceful province. The incident there showed that the government had failed to restore law and order and had no right to rule the country. The conference also demanded an immediate probe into the tragic incident and exemplary punishment for the culprits.
Through a resolution, it demanded that the armed forces should relinquish all other responsibilities to focus on their real duty.
It also expressed its grief over the murder of a priest by robbers in Renala Khurd and demanded immediate arrest of the killers.
