Published July 7, 2003

LAHORE, July 6: Justice Nasim Sikandar of the Lahore High Court has suspended union council 38 (Mandali, Sheikhupura) Nazim Malik Ahmad Khan and directed the provincial election commissioner to inform court whether he has received any reference of disqualification against the respondent.

The court passed the order on a petition filed by Ashraf alias Goga on charges of corruption and misuse of office by the respondent.

Justice Ijaz Chaudhry of the LHC had already observed in another petition against the respondent that he had exceeded his authority and had directed the LHC office to send a reference to the provincial EC against him. — Staff Reporter
