England’s itinerary revised

COLOMBO, July 5: England’s cricketers will not be confined to the comforts of capital Colombo when they tour Sri Lanka later this year, according to the revised itinerary released on Saturday.

England, who begin a 40-day tour of Sri Lanka on Nov 13, were earlier scheduled to play all matches in Colombo barring the first Test in the southern beach resort of Galle.

New itinerary:

Nov 13: Arrive from Dhaka.

Nov 15: v Sri Lanka ‘A’ (Moratuwa).

Nov 18: First One-day International (Dambulla).

Nov 21: Second One-day International (Colombo, D/N).

Nov 23: Third One-day International (Colombo, D/N).

Nov 26-28: v Sri Lanka ‘A’ (Colombo).

Dec 2-6: First Test (Galle).

Dec 10-14: Second Test (Kandy).

Dec 18-22: Third Test (Colombo).
