SUKKUR, July 5: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal took out a procession from Moti mosque to the Clock Tower after Juma prayers to protest against disqualification of its MNA, Mufti Ibrar Sultan.

The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the verdict of a Peshawar High Court election tribunal. A heavy contingent of the police accompanied the procession.

Speaking on the occasion, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam deputy Ameer Maulana Mohammad Murad said the election tribunal verdict was politically motivated and added that the MMA would not succumb to it.
