LAHORE, July 5: Nishtar Town Nazim Maj Rafiq Hasrat (retired) has ordered the establishment of a flood emergency centre at the Lahore General Hospital immediately.
The Town Nazim issued the orders during a tour of the low-lying areas of the town for inspection of arrangements made for drainage of storm water in the event of a heavy rainfall during the monsoon.
He said that an emrgency centre required to be established at the hospital because it was located in a low-lying area and was flooded during the rainy season. He directed the town officials to ensure installation of the dewatering sets at the hospital immediately.
