KARACHI, Dec 15: Formidable Paragon Constructors performed the double Friday when they clinched the A.O.Super Cup Ramzan cricket tournament overpowering the hosts A.O.Cricket Club under lights by 20 runs in the final at Asghar Shah Stadium.

Paragon Constructors, which earlier in the day lifted their own Paragon Cup, showed great deal of stamina and spirit in grabbing the Super Cup.

Electing to bat first, Paragon Constructors made 143 for the seven wickets in stipulated 20 overs. A.O.CC in their turn crumbled to 123 all out in 19.1 overs.

Off-break bowler Ayaz Jilani produced deadly 13 balls spell in which he snapped four wickets for just 11 runs to seal the fate of the match. Left arm spinner Qasier Abbas lent him good support by grabbing three wickets for eight runs and Imran Farhat claimed two for 38.

Tariq Haroon blasted 30 in 16 balls with three massive 6s but once he departed A.O.CC batting crumbled.

Earlier Imran Nazir top-scored with 33 for Paragon Constructors with two 6s and a four after facing 27 deliveries.

A strong crowd of about 5000 witnessed the final which was supervised by Test umpire Riazuddin and Muhammad Asghar.
