LANDI KOTAL, July 4: A middle-aged woman died of bullet injuries at the agency headquarters hospital in Landi Kotal after remaining hospitalised for four days.

She was allegedly killed by her husband, who was trying to scare away a stray dog.

It was learnt that the bullet fired by Jafar Khan, a resident of Kum Shalman, had missed the dog and instead had hit his wife who was standing nearby.

She was admitted to Landi Kotal hospital. Her in-laws had insisted on shifting her to Peshawar but doctors had refused.
