Bail plea rejected

NAWABSHAH, July 4: The district and sessions Judge here on Thursday refused bail to a doctor nominated in a murder case. The judge, Syed Zakir Hussain Shah, also ordered arrest of an ASI for disobeying his orders.

Dr Basheer Tanwar was accused of medical negligence in which Ali Raza, 2, had died on June 19 at the People’s Medical Hospital College.

The judge had assigned ASI (investigation), Masood Jutt, to arrest the doctor but the police official disobeyed his orders. On this the judge ordered arrest of the ASI and registration of a case against him.—Correspondent
