Iftikhar blasts superb century

KARACHI, Dec 15: Iftikhar Ahmed clobbered 12 sixes in his 101 to guide Opera CC in the final of Haji Abdul Aziz Memorial Ramzan cricket tournament when they defeated Al-Noor Gymkhana by 50 runs at UBL Sports Complex ‘B’ Ground Friday.

Iftikhar’s 47-ball knock also included three boundaries as Opera CC piled up 214 for seven in 20 overs. Al-Noor Gymkhana in reply were restricted to 164 for seven in 20 overs. Shujat Ali hitting three fours and as many sixes in his 53 off 30 ball.

Veteran off-spinner Ilyas captured three wickets for 35 runs.
