Mingora library

Published March 26, 2014

WHILE libraries moved from traditional to digital in the 21st century, in Swat even the traditional library is going from bad to worse. The library at the municipality, Mingora, is in a dilapidated condition. A few people visit it for reading newspapers. Books haven’t been supplied to the library for a decade now, while old books are covered with dust. People in the area are in search of new books.

Moreover, the library is controlled and run by one man who is in the lowest grade. The library has neither any head officer nor any supporting staff. The government should look into the matter.
