Man shot dead by fleeing dacoits

KASUR, Dec 15: A neighbour was shot dead for going after dacoits at Fazal Khan Colony, Saddar Deewan Road here on Saturday.

Four armed dacoits burst into Shakila Bibi’s house, a nurse of the local DHQ Hospital. The intruders held the inmates hostage, scooped cash, ornaments and valuables worth Rs100,000 on gunpoint. They also tortured the nurse for raising an alarm. They shot and killed their neighbour Muhammad Hanif for chasing them.

Meanwhile, four unidentified dacoits barged into the house of Muhammad Aslam and made away with Rs150,000 on pistol point.

Police are looking into cases.

ABDUCTED: Five outlaws abducted a married woman and also took away cash and ornaments on Saturday at Bhopeywal village, Pattoki.

Bashir Hussain and his accomplices entered the house of Muhammad Ashraf in his absence and abducted his wife Shamim Bibi.

They also took away Rs5,000 in cash, ornaments and other valuables.

Police have registered a case.
