HYDERABAD, July 3: The water flow in the mighty Indus river continues to increase steadily with the passage of each day.
According to information collected from Wapda and the control room of the Kotri Barrage, the water level at Kotri upstream was recorded at 88,726 cusecs at 2.00pm on Thursday while 51,538 cusecs has been released at downstream Kotri.
In the off taking canals from the Kotri Barrage, 18,025 cusecs of water is flowing in the New Phulelli Canal, 9,630 cusecs in Old Phulelli, 2,748 cusecs in Akram Wah and 6,862 cusecs in KB Feeder.
At the Guddu Barrage, the water level at upstream at 6.00am on Thursday was recorded at 2,12,800 cusecs and downstream at 1,73,000.
At the Sukkur Barrage, the water level at upstream was recorded at 1,67,900 cusecs and at downstream 1,06,900 cusecs.
The reservoir level at the Tarbela Dam stood at 1,500.65 feet against the dead level of 1,369 feet. At the Mangla Dam the water level was recorded at 1,191.80 feet against the dead level of 1,040 feet.
